For this post, I
through about making a post about spring cleaning and the saving I received from

having a special promotion where they have reduced by $150. On sale price was
$549.99, I had $400 in gift cards from the different programs that I used, the
OOP was only $206 plus received 1811 kickpoint from Shopkick (is about 7 dollars in gift cards), plus $10
in bestbuy rewards.
I had unexpected
visitor that came to my house that caught me off guard. At first I didn’t know
that he was there. One morning, I wake up with 3 small bite markers in a single
row. By lunch time, the bite mark was itchy, warm to the touch, reddish and double
in size. I thought I just had a really bad reaction to a spider mark. The next
day, it double in size again. I applied a warm towel to the site and applied
some hydrocortisone cream. It helped some with the itchiness.
Then 3 months
later, I saw a bug in the bathroom. So I googled it, and heaven forbid google
informed that I had bed bugs!!! All I could do was screamed!!!! But I could not
because it was 3 am in the morning and I just put Malaysia to sleep. Feeling of
grossness, disbelief, and paranoia. Every little black dot that I saw, I was
checking to see if it was a bedbug.
The next morning
we called Orkin and Terminix. Over the next 3 days, the sleep quality was very
poor. I kept waking up because I felt bugs were crawling over me. Once the Exterminator,
looked at our bed bug problem they said that we caught it in the earlier stages
before got to bed and the problem was isolated to only 2 rooms. It would be
cheaper to buy a steamer and do the treatment ourselves vs. paying 1500 for the
treatment. So we starting looking at what we needed to exterminated ourselves
and order the equipment.
Now that they
have confirmed that we have them, the next part was to tell our guest who have
visit our house in the past that we have bedbugs. I was dreading on telling my
guests that I have bedbugs. Will they judge me on my current circumstances? The
conversation went better than I thought.
It is spring cleaning
time. While waiting for the kit to home to the house, I was preparing and decluttering
my house for the treatment. Treatment day has arrived!!! I prepared the room
for my husband and mother so they can do the treatment. Over the last 2 days,
we have treated our house. So far no new bite marks or any bugs have been seen.
